100 Black Men of Austin presents: Ready Player 100

100 Black Men of Austin Inc. is organizing Ready Player 100 at The Secret Lantern, 151 S. Bell Boulevard in Cedar Park, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. Admission is $10 per person for general admission. RSVP for more information.

The 100 Black Men of Austin presents the inaugural Ready Player 100, hosted at The Secret Lantern Books & Games!

Ready Player 100 is a one-day gaming and entrepreneurship competition designed to help shift the narrative from simply playing games to building them.

Participants will compete in teams of four across a full day of gaming, creativity, strategy, and competition. Teams will develop and pitch their own game concept to a panel of judges, hear from gaming industry experts, and face off in both video game and board game competitions for cash prizes and bragging rights.

Whether you’re interested in game development, entrepreneurship, or just love a good competition, Ready Player 100 is an opportunity to connect with fellow gamers and learn more about the business and creativity behind the games we play.

Competition Includes: • Game Pitch Competition • Gaming Industry Expert Talk • Video Game Competition • Board Game Competition • Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

Participant Registration: $25 per person / $100 per team Teams consist of four participants. Lunch is provided for participants.

General Admission: $10 Come watch the competition, support the teams, and help raise funds for future community initiatives from The 100 Black Men of Austin.

Important Dates: Applications close August 15 at 11:59 PM CDT. Accepted applicants will be notified and teams finalized August 16. The competition officially kicks off August 29, with final presentations due September 12.
