2nd Annual ATX Game Makers Game Jam-A-Thon

ATX Game Makers is bringing its second Game Jam-A-Thon to Austin Books and Comics from Friday, Jan. 19 to Sunday, Jan. 21.  RSVP on the official page for information and signups as a jammer and a jam supporter.

This year’s Game Jam-A-Thon is being hosted by our friends at Austin Books and Comics! We are inviting you out to come and not only learn about game development, but also make games! This dual event will not only raise money for the community to host more events during the year but also serve to educate and give practice to folks making games. Come out and join the community and have some fun and raise some money at the same time!

There will be plenty of parking. We will be located next to Kava in the Austin Book and Comics plaza: 5002 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78751

Friday 19th 7:00 PM – Midnight

Saturday 20th 9:00 AM – Midnight

Sunday 21th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

It’s that time of year again, that time for us to host another amazing in-person  Game Jam-A-Thon! This is our second annual  Game Jam-A-Thon; this year we are teaming up with our friends over at Austin Books and Comics! As before, this event will get us out of wintery homes and come together to make great games. And like before it will also serve as a fundraiser for ATX Game Makers to continue making strides towards its goal of helping increase the diversity in the industry by way of educating, creating community and building opportunities for people to get into the games industry.

This event is open to people of ALL levels! Made a game before? GREAT! Never made a game or programmed anything before? GREAT! We have all levels of people who will be attending to team up with. It’s also a great time to ask questions about the games industry. And it’s FREE to attend and participate so come out, ask questions, make games, and have fun!
