Global Game Jam 2024 at MoHA

Museum of Human Achievement in association with IGDA-Austin and EGaDS! will be host to Global Game Jam starting at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at their offices at 3600 Lyons Road at the back of the Canopy creative office park. RSVP on the official GGJ location page.

Global Game Jam Austin will be a hybrid event open to all participants! Join us on our Discord and start jamming from home or join us at the Museum of Human Achievement (MOHA). IGDA Austin is partnering with other game dev networking groups in Austin, including Games Y’all and EGaDS, to provide our communities with a chance to participate in GGJ 2024.

Registration and team assignments can be done via discord, on our jam site or in person on Friday.

Opening ceremonies and theme announcement will begin at 7pm on Friday, January 26th and the jam will run until 5pm Sunday January 28th. All are welcome to join us in person starting at 6pm on Friday for light refreshments and meeting other jammers or solidifying teams. MOHA has free on-site parking and a climate controlled office that can seat up to 20 people comfortably. On-site availability following kickoff will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis As we are expecting the weekend of the game jam to be cold, space heaters will also be provided for any overflow interested in attending in-person throughout the weekend.

GGL Austin is moderated and run in part by EGaDS, a student led game development organization at the University of Texas. UT students can reach out to their club council members for details regarding setting aside study halls on campus as a secondary satellite site to GGJ Austin.
