Texas Game Jam 2024

EGaDS!, the student game-dev club at UT-Austin, is having its own annual game jam starting with a kickoff at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, with the jam running through the weekend until Sunday, Sept. 29, as a hybrid event on campus and on Discord. Sign up on the official form and join the Discord channel to participate.

The kickoff for the 2024 Texas Game Jam will be on Friday, September 27th from 6-8 PM @ GDC 2.216. The game jam will run from Friday at 8 pm to Sunday, September 29th at 8 pm. Industry professionals will judge the games afterwards!

The game jam will be a hybrid event, so you can join it from anywhere or join us on campus! You DO NOT have to be a UT student to participate. Anyone is welcome to join regardless of their skill level, and we will be having a game jam workshop for those that need it. Additionally, industry mentors will be there to help out Jammers. Jammers can choose to create their own team, go solo, or get matched with a team through a Google form.

Throughout the event, you will have opportunities to network with industry professionals both in the game jam’s Discord server and in person. We will provide food and exclusive 2024 TXGJ merchandise for in-person attendees!  This is a great opportunity to learn the game-making process, make new friends, and have fun!
