Texas Game Jam, presented by EGaDS! and UT-Austin
EGaDS!, the student club for game development at the University of Texas at Austin, is presenting a game jam starting at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 on campus at UT-Austin, and ending with jam submission at 8 p.m. Sept. 25. The event will be a hybrid of in-person and Discord-based jamming.
- Kickoff + theme reveal will be at 7 pm CT on September 23 in the auditorium of the Gates-Dell Complex on UT campus, GDC 2.216; this will be live-streamed, too, so if you want to catch it virtually, that will be an option! Diversifiers are also available on our TXGJ website.
- Submissions will officially close at 8 pm CT on September 25, and will be submitted via a jam page on itch.io that can be found on the TXGJ Discord
- In the industry? Judging and/or mentoring will be appreciated! Fill out the judge/mentor application form.
- Just wanna jam? That’s cool too! Join the game jam Discord server here after filling out the participation form.
- Want to do some combination of these three? That’s also allowed! Any combination of the three roles of judge, mentor, and jammer is allowed, with only the caveat that judges must opt their games out of being judged.
